Quality eggs since 1934.

The Gray Ridge brand is built on quality. Here are the agencies we work with to ensure that quality and food safety is integrated into everything we do.
 Safe Quality Food (SQF)

The Safe Quality Food (SQF) Institute’s mission is “to deliver consistent, globally recognized food safety and quality certification programs based on sound scientific principles, consistently applied across all industry sectors, and valued by all stakeholders.” 1

The Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), a collaboration between the world’s leading food safety experts from retailer, manufacturer and food service companies. GFSI’s mission is to provide ‘continuous improvement in food safety management systems to ensure confidence in the delivery of safe food to consumers.’2

All Gray Ridge egg grading facilities are SQF Level 2 certified. They are evaluated annually by Safe Quality Food auditors in order to maintain and continuously improve our food safety practices within the SQF program.

The Food Safety Enhancement Program (FSEP)

The Food Safety Enhancement Program (FSEP) is the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA)’s approach to encourage and support the development, implementation and maintenance of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) systems in all federally registered establishments.1

Gray Ridge Eggs Inc. is one of only two egg companies in Ontario to be identified by the CFIA as a FSEP/HACCP Recognized establishment.

Quality Assurance International

The use of the “Canada Organic” logo is regulated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). The Canada organic logo is available to organic operators through Canadian Food Inspection Agency accredited certification bodies.1

All Gray Ridge organic eggs are certified organic by Quality Assurance International (QAI). QAI is committed to supporting vibrant communities and protecting our environment by providing access to organic food and products.2
